Confidence on Camera: How to Finally Feel Comfortable Being Seen

Updated: May 8

Does the thought of having to join a Zoom call, ( with camera 'ON'!), a networking session or standing in front of an audience turn you into a quivering bag of nerves?

If the thought of 'being seen' makes your stomach flip… you’re not alone.

For so many women—especially those building a business, sharing a passion, or stepping into something new—being visible can feel uncomfortable, and sometimes- even unachievable.

Does any of this resonate with you?

  • Overthinking what you are going to say, ( and then-if you actually get as far as showing up-you completely go 'off track' or find yourself scrabbling around to get any words out at all?

  • Obsessively critiquing how you look or sound- fixating on a particular facial feature... cringing at the sound of your own voice

  • Recording the same video over and over (and still not posting it)

  • Or... avoiding the camera altogether.

The difficulty is...there’s a part of you that knows you want to show up, that your business will benefit hugely if you do, but what you don't want are the unwanted feelings that go hand-in-hand being visible.

Why Being on Camera Feels So Hard

Confidence on camera isn’t just about 'practice' or 'just doing it'-

It tends to run deeper than that.

Often, it can be linked to:

  • Fear of judgement

  • Old beliefs about not being 'good enough'

  • Perfectionism

  • A heightened awareness of being seen

Your conscious mind may want to show up—but your unconscious mind is trying to keep you safe, so is not making it easy for you to do so.

If this resonates, you may also like to read my blog post on 'Anxiety' where I further explore this.

The Truth About Confidence

Confidence isn’t something you either have or you don’t.

It’s something your mind can learn.

When you begin to feel comfortable being seen, there are noticeable changes that happen-your voice sounds natural and engaging, your face/body relaxes (- this translates to your audience), and you find that your attention is not on the 'distractions'- it is on your message!

A Gentle Way to Build Confidence on Camera

This is exactly why I created my Confidence on Camera Hypnosis MP3.

Rather than forcing yourself to “push through” fear, this approach works by gently guiding your unconscious mind into a new, calmer response.

Inside the 30-minute audio, you’ll be supported to:

  • Release self-conscious thoughts

  • Feel relaxed on camera

  • Let go of perfectionism

  • Speak with clarity and confidence

  • Become motivated and excited for future engagements

(Delivered by a British female voice, designed to help you relax deeply and absorb positive change effortlessly.)

Imagine This…

You press record… and instead of tension, there’s calm.

You speak… and your words flow easily.

You watch it back… and feel proud, not critical.

You post it… without overthinking.

That version of you already exists.
